I'm a ballet teacher and former ballerina sharing my love for dance with the world!

I entered the world of professional ballet at the age of ten, as a student at the Kiev State Ballet Academy in Ukraine. I spent years working as a principal dancer in St. Petersburg and Kharkiv, and traveled the world with various ballet companies until I found my love of teaching. Over the past 20 years, I worked as a teacher and choreographer in New York and Pennsylvania, in addition to contributing to international ballet intensives and acting as a mentor to countless students. I hold an MA in Choreography and divide my time between Pennsylvania and New York.

As a professional dancer, I learned about the art of ballet, but it wasn’t until I became a teacher that I got to experience how ballet can be so much more. Ballet has been an amazing form of therapy for me during the last decade, and I’ve noticed that that’s how most of my adult students approach it. The fitness aspect of classical ballet is an amazing exercise that tones the body better than anything else I’ve ever tried, but it’s the artistic expression that drives people to ballet classes. Adult ballet students love the immersive aspect of the practice. It allows people to escaping into the world of dance that they’ve loved since they were kids. Ballet is equal parts joyful abandon and rigorous exercise, modern fitness and classical art. Ballet is fun!
